Phoenix Carpet Repair & Cleaning had the opportunity to attend The Experience Convention and Trade Show at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. This is the largest independent convention and trade show in the cleaning and restoration industry. It provides hands-on training and the very best education for cleaning and restoration professionals. We get to talk about where the industry is going and what can we expect the new normal to be as change is inevitable. Every year we get to reconnect and learn from other cleaners and restorers from all over the US and around the world. There are receptions and gatherings with plenty of time to network. There are classes to attend from some of the most experienced experts in the industry to educate us on on the latest trends, newest products and hottest topics. Some of these classes were Daytime Commercial Carpet Cleaning by Dane Gregory,  Making the Most of Technology to Manage Change by Dennis Bruders, Surviving and Thriving with Biohazards Risks by David Dybdahl, Is Steam Cleaning Different then Hot Water Extraction and Dry Methods by John Sales, just to name a few. There were keynote addresses from Dr. Gavin MacGregor Skinner with the Global Biorisk Advisory Council about Getting Ahead of the Competition: Does Your Cleaning Mean No Germs and from Marvelless Mark on Opportunity Rocks, Achieve Boldly… Like A Rock Star! We got to visit 240 booths which is where the hands-on learning comes into play. Visiting booths of companies whose equipment we already use is exciting as we get to see and try what’s new and improved. There are demonstrations on everything from carpet cleaning to upholstery cleaning to tile cleaning. Of course, with all the education definitely comes the fun! There was a pool party with a band playing all the hits from the 70’s and 80’s. Lots of giveaways games and prizes. The EXPERIENCE really is just that, an experience. Time to be with those passionate about the same industry, to learn and grow and to rejuvenate our excitement to get back to work! We are always excited to apply this new knowledge and ideas to give our customers a great experience with our company.
