Phoenix Carpet Repair was called out to a Buckeye carpet Repair. The Call of the hour was Carpet Stretching. The Home owner had there carpet cleaned and the carpet to Tile edges were pulled up. When your carpet is installed the carpet installer should glue using latex glue, the edge of the carpet before tucking the carpet edge into the gully which is about 1/3 inch space between the tack strip and the Tile edge. In this case the edge was never glued. When the edges are not glued the edge of the carpet tends to fray or get pulled out. This can cause a trip hazard and can damage the edge of the carpet. Dogs and cats tend to chew on these frayed edges..
