The last thing a homeowner wants to see after having their carpet cleaned is ripples. As bad as it sometimes appears it does not always mean that the carpet is loose or in need of carpet stretching. Wet carpet will sometimes form ripples that will disappear once the moisture evaporates from the fibers. You can always turn on your ceiling fans or set up box fans next to the carpet in order to help dry the carpet faster. If ripples do show up right after steam cleaning we always advise to wait at least 24 hours. In most cases the carpet will return to normal once the carpet is completely dry.
