Have you ever put tape on a rip in the carpet, or taped down a rug to carpet using ordinary double sided tape? Unless it is tape that is specialty made for carpet, this will be the result once you pull it up. We came out to this customer’s home to clean up the tape residue and it has damaged the carpet permanently. He will need to patch that area or replace the carpet.
