Ripples or buckling in your carpet means that your carpet has become loose. The main reason this happens is due to poor installation in the first place. When carpet is installed it should be power stretched into place but a lot of carpet installers like to knee-kick the carpet up onto the tack strip as it is a quicker process but this is not the responsible way. Loose carpet can also happen by letting your home get too hot or over wetting the carpet during professional carpet cleaning. Anything over 85 degrees or if the carpet gets too wet it can cause the latex backing on the carpet to relax and then ripple. If you have ripples and are looking to have a trusted and experienced company out to fix your carpet give our office a call. All of our technicians are IICRC certified and our skilled technicians will stretch the carpet using a power stretching tool that reaches across the length and then the width of the room we will stretch the carpet in both directions making it as tight as possible without damaging the carpet. We will then cut off the excess carpet and re-tack it all back down. Typically we can get 2-3 inches out of a carpet. All of our carpet stretching also comes with a 2 year warranty on the labor. Our office can provide you with a free, over the phone estimate based on your measurements and can be reached at 602-688-4186.
