Many times furniture or dogs nails, boxes or shoes snag berber carpet. The carpet is a looped pile carpet so it is very common for it to get snagged and run. The way to remedy this is to section out the damaged area and then section in and permanently bond or patch a remnant piece of carpet or borrow a piece from a closet if there is not any extra carpet.
