This past week our owner, Robert, was able to represent Phoenix Carpet Repair & Cleaning at Mikey’s Fest in beautiful Phoenix, AZ. This three day carpet cleaner’s conference comes together to receive educational industry experience while partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities to give back to the community. There were featured educators that taught the following classes and demonstrations:

  • Bryan Thomson: Learn how to repair cracks in stone, missing grout in showers and floors, granite polishing and more.
  • Reg Rogers: See and try low moisture CRB/Compound cleaning of wood floors, sensitive rugs and commercial glue down carpet.
  • Mark Saiger: See firsthand how you can seal acres of tile, stone, and grout in a matter of minutes.
  • Mark Markovic: Learn how to apply color-seal.
  • Charles Heaberlin and Branden Joynt: Low moisture/oscillating pad demos on tile, wood, concrete and carpet.
  • Grant Baverstock: Learn to clean upholstery.
  • Steven Dillon: Learn how to remove soap scum, hard water deposits and scratches from windows, table tops and shower doors.
  • Matt Pentacost: Cleaning and sealing of quartz type counter tops.

There were featured speakers such as Ben Surdi, owner of Pure Clean, Bob Puritt, Jim Eckman, Chad Lopez, Kevin Bunce, Chris Simning and Grant Baverstock sharing their knowledge, experiences and successes.

This was also the largest crew of cleaners in attendance at a Mikey’s Fest coming from all over the United States to not only learn but volunteer their time and experience. They cleaned three homes for RMHC. These homes had all their commercial carpet cleaned, lots of tile and grout cleaning, all the vinyl cleaned, tile & grout cleaning and sealing, rugs were cleaned and all of the upholstery was cleaned. They also did glass scratch repair and fixed counter top joints. This incredible conference and the attendees were also able to donate $16,009.00 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central & Northern AZ.
