Upon request we can use a botanical disinfectant called Benefect. Benefect has been approved by the US EPA as a high level disinfectant, fungicide, tuberculocide, and virucide that requires no rinsing or wiping after application on any surfaces or flooring. This product being virucidal, means that it deactivates or destroys viruses. Since this product does not require any personal protective equipment it makes it the ideal choice to use in homes or business offices and it is safe to use around the elderly, children, pets, chemically sensitive or high risk individuals.
As a company we have taken extra precautions to ensure the health and well being of our customers and our technicians. Our technicians are wearing protective booties and gloves while they are in our customers homes and sanitizing our equipment and vehicles daily. Our employees have also been advised to monitor their health closely and to stay home if they feel they have any flu-like symptoms. When the technician comes to your home for carpet cleaning with the use of our disinfectant he will use the following process:
- Vacuuming all areas with a commercial grade vacuum.
- Pre-treating the heavy traffic areas and using spot treatment as needed.
- Cleaning carpet with a truck mounted, hot water extraction, steam cleaning system that uses a neutral rinse to provide a zero residue finish.
- Spraying all carpeted areas using a hydro force sprayer with our disinfectant cleaning agent to kill any germs or bacteria that regular cleaning did not remove or kill.
