Hallway Carpet Re-stretching
When it comes to Re-stretching a hallway carpet there are some challenges to consider. When the hallway was installed the carpet was cut to fit that particular area. Most hallways have multiple doorway transitions into bedrooms. This can be a challenge because the carpet is seamed together in the doorway transitions.
The carpet should be stretched in the length and the width of the hallway. When a hallway needs to be re-stretched we usually will need to open up multiple seams in the hallway. Once a seam is opened up you will have to power stretch and stay nail the carpet and turn around and do the same technique on the opposite side. Once both sides of the carpet is stay nailed we trim and cut the carpet and seam it back together removing the excess carpet. Below is a couple of videos and some pictures of this technique.
