We received an emergency water restoration call from this customer in Phoenix. After the recent storms they had water damage from rain water leaking in from outside for an unknown amount of time. Upon arrival we installed a containment wall to control the airborne debris, such as dust, from escaping into surrounding areas that are not being worked on. Then we removed wet carpet, padding, tack strip, drywall and insulation. We also set up air movers to help dry out the area as quickly as possible and dehumidifiers that will remove the moisture from the air along with the musty odor. We’ll carefully monitor the progress using moisture meters until the materials return to acceptable drying goals. The final step is to restore your home to its pre-water damage condition. This will include replacing dry-wall, insulation, tack strips, padding and then cleaning and re-stretching the carpet. We also use a botanical disinfectant called Benefect, that kills over 99.99% of bacteria and fungi on all water damage jobs.
