A hallway is the most difficult part of a home to stretch. Most times, the rooms connected to the hallway need to be re-stretched as well and as those rooms are stretched, the hallway ripples correct themselves. Other times, we can just focus only on the hallway buy cutting the seams to the doorways and re-seaming them after stretching is done.
Also, if you live with the ripples for a while, the ripples create a memory in the carpet. This means even after it is tightened, you might be able to see where the ripples once were even though they are flattened. Carpet cleaning can help with the appearance, which we can also do immediately after stretching.
