There is a good chance that your carpet endures heavy traffic wherever there is a carpet to tile transition. This is the transition where the carpet and tile meets each other. Over time, the carpet can start to fray and a gap will start to form between the carpet and tile. It is recommended that you repair these areas as soon as possible. If not, the carpet will continue to unravel and the gap between the carpet and tile will become larger.
Our customer in Peoria had damage at a carpet to tile transition. The damage wasn’t caused by a pet or some random accident. This damage was caused by wear and tear over time. If the space between the carpet is more than two inches, the repair will be completed with a permanent patch. But if the space between the carpet is less than two inches, then we can stretch the carpet back to the tile and re-tack the carpet down in that area.
