We used the same method of cleaning on this area rug that we use on wall to wall carpeting. The hot steam we use really does make a difference in the quality of clean. You would be surprised to know woo many carpet cleaners DO NOT use steam when carpet cleaning! Pay close attention next time your regular carpet cleaner is in your home. You should be able to see the steam coming from the carpet wand during cleaning.
